Evergreen changes transpacific services in preparation for peak season

TAIWAN's Evergreen is making changes to its transpacific service network by starting a weekly direct service linking central China with the US west coast and arranging slot exchanges with partners.

Starting May 14, the carrier will commence its own China-Pacific South West (CPS2) service with the augural sailing from Ningbo. The service will deploy five 4,000 TEU vessels on a port rotation of Shanghai, Los Angeles, Oakland and Ningbo.

In addition it is providing capacity for a slot exchange arrangement by utilising the new CPS2 and its existing HTW services with Cosco's CEN, and Hanjin's CAX and PSX services.

The port rotation for these loops will be: CPS2 (Evergreen): Ningbo, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Oakland and back to Ningbo.

On the HTW (Evergreen) service, the rotation will be: Taipei, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Yantian, Los Angeles, Oakland and back to Taipei.

On the CEN (Cosco) service, the rotation will be: Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Long Beach, Oakland and back to Dalian.

On the CAX (Hanjin) service, the rotation will be: Shanghai, Kwangyang, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland, Seattle, Tokyo, Osaka, Busan and back to Shanghai.

On the PSX (Hanjin) service, the rotation will be: Kaohsiung, Shenzhen-Yantian, Shenzhen-Shekou, Shanghai, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland, Busan, Kwangyang and back to Kaohsiung.
